Jeanie Barat helps you let go of what is holding you back. Through her work as a Belief Code, Body Code, Emotion Code and Cutting the Ties practitioner, she guides you through a process of energetically releasing the negative effects of past experiences and trauma. By releasing imbalances, you can heal and move on in a happier and healthier way.
Her work can be particularly helpful if you are having problems moving forward; feeling anxiety, depression or overwhelm; experiencing an illness or physical pain; having challenges in relationships; going through a difficult breakup or divorce; or if you are feeling a general sense of dissatisfaction.
Jeanie grew up in Montana, but now resides in San Diego. Outside of coaching, she enjoys swimming, yoga, hiking and being in nature. She loves spending time with her family and is usually seen at her sons' sporting events and activities.
Ok. So, that’s the neat, clean bio. Now, I get to tell you my real story and how I got into this work…
I always knew I wanted my own business, but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I went to college for business and marketing. I was living and working in Minnesota while navigating a long-distance relationship. When I finally decided to take the plunge into the relationship and move to San Diego, I decided this would be the perfect time to start my own business.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but people always say to do what you love. What did I love? Fitness! So, I became certified to be a personal trainer. What I found after working with clients is that I didn’t love the sets/reps/workout plans part of the job, but I did love focusing on the emotional component of why someone might be overweight or may be struggling in some part of their life. I created a weekly meditation and started coaching clients in creating breakthroughs in their lives. As I watched my clients transform, I felt this inner joy I had never experienced. I knew I was starting to step into my true life’s work.
Then…record scratch…I had kids. What would seem like a small hiccup became the beginning of a 10-year healing journey that still continues.
The short version is I suffered this incredible intense fatigue. At first it seemed like the kind of fatigue every new Mom experiences. But, as it persisted for years, I started to learn this wasn’t normal. I could only stay awake for three hours at a time. I had to pull over on the side of the road or outside of buildings just to muster the energy up to keep driving or to walk up the stairs before an appointment.
I sought help from the most amazing healers. These were the healers that cured things no one could. They cured celiac disease, cancer, took people off the autism spectrum, helped people walk or move their arms and legs even though they thought they were paralyzed. They had healed EVERYTHING. As soon as they’d hear my story it would be met with a confident, “I got this!” A typical case of chronic fatigue, auto immune disease, hormone imbalance, environmental intolerances. They all felt very confident they had seen this before and by following their protocol, I could be another success story.
I was very committed to feeling better and diligently followed their protocols. I ate the foods, eliminated the foods, drank the teas, did the work. Whatever they set up – I followed meticulously. But, still I struggled. However, after such a long bout with no results, now the struggle wasn’t just physical, it was mental.
Was this how my life was going to be forever? Was I always going to feel this way? What was the point? Were my kids ever going to know something other than the tired Mom? Was my husband going to know someone other than the person who couldn’t wait to go to sleep each night?
As a former athlete, triathlete and marathon runner, I could now hardly walk around the block without exhaustion. I couldn’t drive long distances without having to pull over and I had to pause before walking up a full flight of steps.
This fatigue started to not just wear on me physically, but now it was challenging my mental and emotional health. This became an almost bigger burden that haunted me each day. Just tell me when I’ll feel better and I can keep going. Otherwise…
Then, finally after another sound healing session, I was chatting with my osteopath. She mentioned she had heard about this woman who does this work called the Body Code and she suggested I try it. Although skeptical after working with doctors, naturopaths, acupuncturist, shaman, sound healers, I thought I have to find something to help make the shift.
So, reluctantly, I called the Body Code Practitioner. She was confident she could help me. I wasn’t so sure, but was willing to try. After working with her over many sessions, I decided to see a shift – my energy improved, my sleep deepened, I began to be more peaceful, my anxiety lessened, bouts of pain disappeared. I started to see shifts that no other modality had offered to this point.
I was so inspired with how I saw my life and shift as well as others who used this method for healing, I knew I needed to learn this work and help others. So, I became certified as an Emotion Code and Body Code Practitioner. I continue to see this work make shifts in unexplainable illnesses. It can help with mental and emotional challenges and of course physical too. I continue to use it for my life when challenges arise. And I love sharing it and helping others through this tool as well as others.
Although I didn’t realize this while I was going through it, this decade of fatigue pulled me away from my daily activities and the world and took me inward. I studied and practiced weekly with my meditation teacher and learned beside amazing healers, astrologers and shaman. As a driven person, never would have I retreated from the world to take this time to go inward – learn about myself and strengthen my intuition. I also helped me create a compassion for others and inspire me to help others be released from their deep pain and trauma. I realize now this decade was an intense crash course in studying spirituality, healing and deepening my work as a practitioner.
